It was announced in October 2017 that Kimberly Peirce would direct the film adaptation of the short story, The Story of Jane: The Legendary Underground Feminist Abortion Service,[1] and in October 2018, Stephany Folsom was brought in to rewrite the script.[2] There have been no further developments as of May 2020.
