Thomas Daniel Quiter is a Libertarian politician from the State of New York. In November 2020, Quiter ran to represent District 52 in the New York State Senate.[1] In that election, he earned 13,803 votes (12.6%) against the incumbent Fred Ashkar.[2]

Background[edit]

Quiter grew up in Mount Upton in Chenango County, New York. He graduated from Alfred State College and is active as a disability and agricultural revival advocate.[3][1] As a politician, he supports 2nd amendment rights and healthcare reform.[4]

Personal life[edit]

Growing up, Quiter assisted on his family farm in Sidney, New York, despite suffering from osteogenesis imperfecta type II, a rare genetic disorder that resulted in thousands of skeletal fractures.[4] As of 2021, he is a member of the Mount Upton Lions Club and serves as a board member in the Catskill Center for Independence.[3][4]
