Three Chords (Russian: Три аккорда, romanized: Three Chords) is a Russian show. The show began airing on 21 September 2014 on Channel One Russia.
The show covers the whole variety of genres of Russian music, not constrained by the framework of pop, rock variety or classics, but at the same time enjoying great popular popularity. The episodes of the show are devoted to urban romance, author's song, movie buffs, creativity of the Russian emigration of the XX century and some other genres.
Format[edit]
The show is filmed in the format of a musical TV show with a competitive system. These are themed concerts in which the participants perform famous hits. 4 jury members evaluate each number on a five-point system (ace-king-queen-jack). From the 6th season, another card appeared – joker (6 points), which each member of the jury can put only once per season. The scores are added up from release to release, so that in the end it is possible to determine the winner of the entire project.
Jury[edit]
Most often, the jury includes Sergei Trofimov, Alexander Rosenbaum, Lyubov Uspenskaya and Mikhail Shufutinsky. Alexander Novikov is the only one who was on the jury in each episode.
