Ticket Ghana
Ticket Ghana is an award winning Ghanaian company that begun as an online event ticketing company which evolved to become an online travel agency based in Accra, Ghana. It was founded in the year 2009 by a Ghanaian businessman Basil Archibald David Anthony, born to a Cypriot born British Father and a Ghanaian Mother.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]
History[edit]
The company was founded to sell tickets online for entertainers in Ghana. It did not reach the expected heights due to the unpopularity of online purchases in Ghana. The event business in Ghana never gained its online presence making the company expand to another business venture; the sale of airline tickets.
However the increase of internet usage with social media in Ghana gave the company more opportunities to maximise its social media network of millennials and use it to its advantage.
The company cofounded the popular Sunday night event called Chicken N Beer. It was a business partnership with the Hiplife legend Reggie Rockstone in his club in Accra.
In September 2015 the company evolved and launched its online airline comparison platform, which gave travelers the convenience of searching & comparing the best air fares to their destination whiles offering them the cheapest price for their booking pleasure.
The company has future plans of becoming an airline operating company offering both local and international air travel options.[citation needed]
