Dr Tim Benson has a Phd from the University of Kent on political cartoons. His books include Giles’s War, Churchill in Caricature, Low and the Dictators, Strube: The World’s most Popular Cartoonist, Illingworth: Political cartoons from the Daily Mail 1939-1969, The Cartoon Century: Modern Britain through the Eyes of Its Cartoonists, Drawing the Curtain: The Cold War in Cartoons and Over the Top: A Cartoon History of Australia at War, and Britain’s Best Ever Political Cartoons. Benson also edits the ‘Britain’s Best Political Cartoons’ series.
