Timothy French is a queer artist known for their Plastics in the City Instagram of Barbie installations.[1][2]
French, who was born and raised in Detroit and now lives in New York, is known for styling "hundreds of elaborate Barbie tableaux from around New York City."[2] French's pandemic portrayal of "social distance" in hopes “that in this pandemic and times of racism and police brutality that the black community gets treated equally and the white privileged system is dismantled."[1]
French is also a drag queen who goes by Stefani Victoria Spears, which they spell the same way as Lady Gaga who gave them their name during a taping on Oprah.[3][4]
