Tip of the day
A tip of the day is a snippet of practical advice that may be offered on a daily basis to users and readers of a website, newspaper, magazine, software program or media broadcast.
Broadcast media
Some radio and TV broadcasters have used a 'tip of the day' service for their users. This may be in the form of practical health advice[1][2], lifestyle choices[3][4] or, as the name might indicate, betting suggestions[5][6][7].
Software examples
Some computer programs, such as those in older versions of the Microsoft Office suite, including MS Word and MS Excel, will display a tip of the day when they are started.[8][9] Other programs that have a tip of the day feature include:
