Titiksha is the annual Technical and Science Festival of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. It was started by the students of SMVDU in 2008 and has been broadening its canvas every year. The duration for the Fest is 3 days and it usually starts in October or November of every year.[1]

Brief history[edit]

Titiksha has been an example in achieving huge feats with unparalleled figures ever since its inception in 2008. Titiksha has grown in stature in terms of its content, infrastructure and logistics. Every year the Inauguration of the fest is done by a chief Guest like Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Scientist CSIR-IIIM Jammu or Dean of University[2][3][4]

Mega Events: As the name defines these are the most sought after Technology events by overwhelming crowd. These events prove out to be a great success and we constantly strive to improve them with each passing year to make Titiksha better. In Titiksha 2019, the events in this category are:[5]

  • Jhalak dikhla jaa: The Forte Fight

Workshops: Every year Titiksha organizes various workshops for students to take part in and then use those skills in events organized in Titiksha Events. Workshops are organized on Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Android Development etc.
