Tixel is a private ticket resale marketplace headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, allowing users to buy and sell tickets for events such as concerts, festivals, sports, and theatre shows after they have been initially sold by the original ticket seller. Founded by Zac Leigh, Jason Webb, and Denis Mysenko[1]. Tixel launched in Australia in 2018 and expanded into the UK in September 2021.[2] [3][4]
In 2021, the company secured a investment of AUD 1.5 million from investors such as Alberts and UNIFIED Music Group, aimed at expanding its operations and technology infrastructure.[5][6]
In 2023, Tixel formed a partnership with Superstruct Entertainment, a UK-based festival organizer known for events such as the Boardmasters Festival and Y Not Festival.[7]
Awards[edit]
In 2021, as part of the TMN Tinnies Ticketing, Tixel won the Biz of the Year award.[8]
