Toby Lee Marshall (born 1978)[citation needed] is a Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota based organist. He is known for being a member of the Koch Marshall Trio.
Career[edit]
In 1997 he toured with Lonnie Brooks.[1] Marshall lived in the Minneapolis St. Paul area and it was there that he played and recorded with many local artists. In 2010 Lee toured with Bernard Allison in Europe and is credited on Allison's 2011 album, "Live at the Jazzhaus".[2]
Hammond artist[edit]
Marshall is a Hammond organ sponsored artist. He plays a (vintage C-2/Xk-5) Hammond organ.[3]
The Koch Marshall Trio[edit]
Marshall has been the organist for the Koch Marshall Trio instrumental group. The Koch Marshall Trio has signed a contract with the Mascot Label Group. They released their debut studio album, Toby Arrives, in February 2018 under the Mascot Label Group[4][5]
Marshall met with Greg Koch met at a studio that had a B3 organ. The three engaged in musical congress with an improvisation session which turned into the title track for the album Toby Arrives.[6]
