Tom's Editor is an image viewer and image editor used for viewing, converting and editing raster images. It works entirely in a web browser without any plugins, therefore it can be run on almost any operating system. It does work on both computers and tablets. While using Tom's Editor on smartphones is technically possible, the interface is not designed for small screens. The program is freeware for both personal and commercial usage.

Tom's Editor supports 500 image formats and offers a wide range of filters, including the most popular ones like sepia, greyscale, blur, sharpen, color inversion and over 20 filters inspired by Instagram. It is possible to resize images using algorithms designed for photographs (e.g. Lanczos), for pixelart (e.g. Scale2×) but also using seam carving. There is a built-in image tracing algorithm which enables users to load raster images in formats like BMP, JPEG and PNG and save as scalable SVG files.
