Tomasz Dowbor (Warsaw, April 15, 1974) is a Polish and Angolan businessman, active in the construction sector in Angola.[1][2] He is director of Group BoaVida[3], a company responsible for several real estate developments in the country.[4][5][6]
Early life and education
Tomasz was born in Warsaw, the son of Mariusz Krzysztof Dowbor and Krystyna Halina Dobrzynska. His father had experience traveling to Angola, and in 1994, Tomasz moved there, starting by selling pizzas in the Operário neighborhood.[7][8] He took courses in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Emotional Intelligence, Effective Communication, Microfacial Language and Business.[9][10]
Career
Since the mid 1990s, Tomasz specialized in the creation and management of real estate projects in Angola. He led projects such as Vereda das Flores, Ville Vermount, Solida Plaza, Real Park, Infinity I, Infinity II, and Joias do Camama.[9] As of 2020[update], he was in charge of Urbanization Boa Vida,[11] a project that began in 2014.
Philanthropy
Tomasz participated in several philanthropic activities in Angola, including social projects such as Talents Angola, Good Life Ambassadors, Architecture Fair, Health Festival and youth employment.[12] He also promoted blood donation campaigns and solidarity actions during Christmas[13][1]
Personal life
Tomasz Dowbor is the nephew of economist and university teacher Ladislau Dowbor. He is the father of nine children and continues to lead the BoaVida Group.[7]
