Tomorrow's Tessellations
Tomorrow's Tessellations is the solo project of Valentino Venti, an American musician who writes, records, and produces a large majority of the band’s music.
History
Started in 2019, the band began when Venti was watching an episode of The Joy of Painting, which then gave him the inspiration to name his band "Tomorrow's Tessellations."[1] Their music represents many sounds and musical elements. "Beach goth, indie rock, new wave, and alternative rock influences."[2] Eventually in 2019, Venti released Tomorrow's Tessellations' first album, Tomorrow's Tessellations, showcasing the many sounds and versatility of the band. After releasing the band's first album, Venti released two other projects in The Cosmic Cowboy Cabaret: A Self-Destructive Spaghetti-Western and A Short Rain from a Cloudless Sky during 2019. Venti described A Short Rain from a Cloudless Sky as a perfectly split album in its moods.[1] In 2020, Venti announced The Vanity Tour, which was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Instead of touring, Venti spent time working on his 2020 album, Stock Footage of Doves, which he describes as experiences of being an American citizen in 2020. With political commentary, cultural references, and opinions on matters such as protests, censorship, and lockdown due to the pandemic.
Influences
Venti has cited Neutral Milk Hotel, The Velvet Underground, The Strokes, and Tally Hall as his biggest influences.[3]
