Too Spicy is a light-gun shooter arcade game by Sega. Players take the role of Tetsuya, Alexander, Ming-Hua, Charlie, Laurence or Sicks fighting to seize The Boss' enormous inheritance. Each player must shoot the enemies they encounter during their journey to find Shadow, the man left in charge of The Boss' legacy.
Gameplay
Too Spicy is a light-gun shooter arcade game. Players assume the roles of different members of the underworld, who are fighting to get The Boss' inheritance. There are two modes: Story mode, where a single player can choose an individual character to play as, each with a different story, and Versus mode, with two additional characters, Cindy and Shadow, where two players can compete against each other, or one player against the computer. Players must defeat each enemy they encounter. The weapons used change depending on the character chosen: Tetsuya wields a Colt XSE 9mm handgun, Alexander wields a Glock 17 with a scope, Ming-Hua wields two Beretta 9000S handguns, Charlie wields a Heckler and Koch MP71A1 submachine gun, Laurence wields a Benelli M3 Super 90 Shorty pump action shotgun and Sicks wields a Taurus Raging Bull magnum revolver. Each player has varying stats, and Sicks has the ability to become invisible. All weapons are controlled by a hand-held light gun controller, similar to another Sega light gun shooter, Ghost Squad (video game). It also has a double foot pedal system, enabling the player to move left and right in the game.
There is a quick-time event where players must shoot at suitcases aboard a cargo ship, then shoot the gold ingots that come out of the suitcases to gain them for extra points. This is only available for Alexander and Ming-Hua's stories.
