Train to heavenInstallation art located in Wrocław at Strzegomski Square, unveiled in October 2010[1]. For its creation was used real locomotive Ty2-1035.

History

The idea of "Train to heaven" was considered in 1994[2]. To construct the installation locomotive Ty2-1035 received from PKP in Wrocław was used, which was standing before at Muzeum Kolejnictwa na Śląsku in Jaworzyna Śląska, the monument was sponsored by Archicom company[2]. Work of Andrzej Jarodzki was unveiled in October 2010[2].

Architecture

Installation consists of locomotive Ty2-1035 and pieces of railways, is 21 meters tall, and weights 82 tons, thus making it the greatest urban monument in Poland[2].
