Trauma Queen is the upcoming debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Gabbie Hanna, scheduled to be released independently on July 22, 2022.[1][2]
Background and promotion
The album was originally set to be released in 2018 under the name This Time Next Year. Hanna released four singles intended to be on the album, such as Honestly, Honestly (Encore), Monster, and Monster (Reborn), before postponing the album release in favor of her EP, 2WayMirror.[3] The album release was once again postponed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[4] Hanna later stated she was scrapping many of the original songs and changing the album's direction. [1]
On January 27, 2022, Hanna announced that her debut album would be called Trauma Queen[5][6], with her official website stating it would be released on July 22, 2022. [7]
Promotion
On February 22, 2022, during a performance at The Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles, Hanna performed many of the unreleased songs live for the first time including "Head In The Clouds" and "When I Die".[8]
