Travis Edwin Davis (born 10 July 1987) known by his stage name Trav Torch is a US singer and songwriter[1]. In January 2019, Trav Torch released his debut studio album, Bachelor Life[2] which featured the single, Drake Sh!t.[3]
Early Life
Trav Torch was born in Orange, New Jersey. He started rapping at the age of 13 and subsequently transitioned to R&B music in his mid-twenties.[4] Some of his biggest influences growing up were 2pac, Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, and Ginuwine.[5]
Music Career
In May 2015, Trav Torch released his first single, Love You Down, along with a music video that was shared to the worldwide video-sharing technology platform Dailymotion[6] by Blastro Networks. The following year, Torch founded the independent record label Cologne & Cognac Entertainment.[7][8] In January 2019, Trav Torch released his debut full-length album Bachelor Life.[9] The album featured the singles Drake Sh!t, Red Bull And Hennessy, Love You Down, and Sex Tape[10][11]. The music video for Sex Tape reached more than 12 million views on YouTube[12]. In June 2020, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, he released his sophomore album Bachelor Life 2[13], which featured the singles Lust, Wake Up, Give it to Me Baby, Don't Leave Me, and Run It Back[14][15][16]. Critics labeled Give It to Me Baby a "homerun hit for his discography," and added that its vibe was reminiscent of Confessions by Usher.[17] In October 2020, he released the single Do It Again[18][19] which peaked at number 2 on the Digital Radio Tracker Global Top 150 Independent Radio Chart[20]. In February 2021, he released his third project called The Bedroom Soundtrack[21]. Trav Torch adopted the moniker, "R&B Superhero," because in addition to songwriting he also records and mixes his projects in his home studio.[22]
