Walter McCallon (7 September 1973 – 28 May 2011), known professionally as Tre-8, was a rapper from New Orleans, known for his ties with the rap label No Limit Records in the mid-1990s. He was one of a wave of local rappers from both No Limit and Cash Money Records who rode a wave of mainstream attention in the mid-90s, putting Southern hip-hop on the map. Tre-8's 1995 No Limit release, *Ghetto Stories*, cracked the Top 100 on the Billboard charts. In 2011, at the age of 37, he died in a car accident.
