Treezor is a Fintech company, a subsidiary of Societe Generale Group since its acquisition in 2019. [1]. The company is an API based Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform. Treezor has an Approval of Electronic Money Settlement with Payment Services issued by the ACPR (French Prudential Supervisory Authority and Resolution[2] and operates as a one-stop shop through its API solution for neo-banks, banks, marketplaces and SMEs requiring payment services. Its API solution and regulator approval enable Treezor to issue physical payment cards, virtual cards, gift cards, IBANs, virtual IBANs and manage e-wallets, user accounts, payments, wire transfers among other integrated banking services.

Treezor offers its services through a white label proposal. The company is a Principal Member of the Mastercard network[3], as well as a member of the STEP2 network (SEPA).

Background[edit]

The company was founded in 2014[4] in Paris by Éric Lassus, Xavier Labouret and Grégoire Bourdin.

In September 2016, Treezor officially launched its services after receiving the approval of the ACPR (June 21, 2016)[5] in order to create a one-stop shop for fintechs and companies wishing to offer payment services and bank cards. The same year, Treezor signed its first customers, becoming a service provider for two French start-ups[6], Lydia and Qonto[7].

In 2017, new start-ups sign with Treezor to become their payment service provider. This is the case of Lunchr[8], offering a debit card and an application on the meal vouchers segment, and Shine[9], a professional neo-bank.

In 2018, Treezor issued more than 300,000 bank cards, and more than 4 billion euros streamed through its payment solution[10]. The same year, Treezor announced a 640% increase of its turnover[11]. In September 2018, Societe Generale Group announces the acquisition of Treezor to strengthen its own innovation capabilities and accelerate the growth of the start-up[12]. The acquisition is effective in 2019[13] and Éric Lassus and Xavier Labouret take over the management of the company.

In 2019, the company announces new goals with its internationalization, and its expansion at the European level[14], as well as having issued more than 500,000 cards and managed more than 5 billion euros of flows since its creation[15].

Company[edit]

The company, based in Paris, employs 60 people and has more than 40 professional clients in July 2019.

In 2016, Treezor was among the finalists for the French FinTech of the year[16] award, organized by France Innovation.

In 2018, the company is included in the Frenchweb 500 ranking[17].
