A&T Bank was founded in 1977 as Arap Türk Bankası A.Ş.. The bank consists of 65% Libyan-Kuwaiti and 35% private Turkish ownership. The shareholders are; Libyan Foreign Bank (Central Bank of Libya) (62%), Türkiye İş Bankası (20%), Ziraat Bankası (15%) and others (1%).[3] As of 2016, it has 7 branches in Turkey.[1]
