Tremours are an American alternative rock-shoegaze band formed in Los Angeles in 2021. The band consists of Lauren Andino (vocals, guitar) and Glenn Fryatt (drums). Known for their dreamy vocals and guitar tones, contrasted with structured, driving drum beats, Tremours’ influences include Spacemen 3, My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and Andrew Weatherall.
History
Formation
During 2020, Lauren Andino began posting snippets of guitar and Moog compositions online as part of a pandemic sound journal. Glenn Fryatt saw these and wondered if Lauren wanted to add drums. She did, and the two began composing songs together.[1]
Touring and Recording
In August 2021 they released ‘Downtown Demos’, a three-song EP of demo recordings.
In early 2022 they went on their first North American tour supporting L.A. Witch.[2]
On July 7, 2022 the band released their debut single, "Affectations" on Little Cloud Records along with a music video shot and directed by Carlos Rossi and produced by Brandon Burkhart.[3]
