Trey Gerrald is an American actor, comedian, writer, and podcaster. He is best know for his television appearances in Orange is the New Black,[1] and You're The Worst, as well as film appearances in Todd Solondz prequel to Welcome to the Dollhouse, Wiener-Dog, 4th Man Out, and That Summer Feeling.
He cohosts the popular podcast Review That Review with Chelsey Donn and Trey Gerrald.[2]
Biography[edit]
Trey Gerrald was born in Columbia, South Carolina to parents, Ernie and Peggy Gerrald. He has one sister, named Mandy.
At the age of 15, he was accepted into the prestigious South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities residential high school for Drama.[3] He attended Costal Carolina University for musical theatre and received a degree in acting.[4]
Trey moved to New York City upon graduating and began a career in the theater before focusing attention to on camera.[5] [6] Trey performed the solo play, Buyer & Cellar.[7]
In 2015, he married long-time partner, David Perlman who is a renowned wedding photographer.
Trey and his husband have two rescue dogs named Winnie and Hunter.
