Jaclyn Johnston (born Jaclyn Nicole Johnston on March 15, 1983).[1] is an American author, writer, podcast host, and CEO of Manifest It!®, a self-help and spirituality wellness website and podcast.[2] Her focus is on how to build self-esteem and transform beliefs using cognitive training with the Law of Attraction to "ManiFAST: Manifest Faster", even if living with anxiety.[3]

Early life and career[edit]

Jaclyn grew up in both Austin, TX and Dallas, TX,[1] and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in liberal arts and a minor in communication studies.[3] While attending college, from 2003-2004, she was a beat writer for The Daily Texan. In 2005, she was a communications intern for the Texas Longhorns intercollegiate sports team.[4]

In 2015, Jaclyn joined the Department of Physics at the University of Texas at Arlington as assistant[5] to particle physics Fellows of the American Physical Society, Dr. David R. Nygren and Dr. Kaushik De[6], at the University of Texas at Arlington[7]

In 2017, Jaclyn published her first book, Don't Feel Stuck![8], and was featured in Medium's Women in Wellness expressing how she performed an experiment on herself and quickly manifested 99% of everything she wanted including meeting Bruce Springsteen in 2014, and being credited for a small part in the creation of the 2016 documentary film, Phantom of the Universe: The Hunt for Dark Matter[9], narrated by Tilda Swinton with audio effects by George Lucas's, Skywalker Sound.[10]

In 2019, Jaclyn published her second book, Don't Feel Stuck in Love![11], and was quoted in an article for The Washington Post about living with anxiety throughout her life stating, “I typically chose to attempt escaping my anxiety through shopping, happy hours and going to movies. I no longer attempt to escape it. I now acknowledge it when it starts to creep up to the surface again, and I allow it to pass through instead of focusing on it.”[12] In the same year, Jaclyn launched her multi-platform podcast show, Manifest It!®, as part of her mission to help others "ManiFAST" despite having anxiety.[13]

In 2020, Jaclyn was featured in an interview with Authority Magazine and Arianna Huffington's Thrive Global expressing she draws inspiration from Bruce Springsteen, St. Vincent, and Shirley Manson in her work because they match with her style of independent free-thinking.[14] In the same year, she was quoted in Popculture., owned by Entertainment Tonight and TV Guide Network, for being a fan of Seinfeld paying tribute to the late Jerry Stiller for the first season of Festivus since his passing.[15]

Personal life[edit]

Jaclyn's cousin is actor, Ron Raines. She currently resides in Dallas, TX and has been dating Jim Stephens, an inventor in chemistry[16], since 2017.[17]
