Trillium Secure, Inc. is a US provider of automotive cyber-security and secure data management solutions.[1]

Founded by executives in the semiconductor, telecommunications, and automotive industries in Japan in 2014, Trillium has since expanded to having offices in Tokyo, Sunnyvale, Ann Arbor and Ho Chi Min City. Trillium's founders include the founder of DDI Corp (Now KDDI) Sachio Semmoto and David M. Uze, former Corporate VP of Freescale Semiconductor in Asia.[2]

As of July 2018, Trillium has raised over $15 million in Series A funding from investors such as JAFCO, Global Brain Corporation, Mizuho Capital, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, Tokyo Century, Plug and Play, Deutsche Bahn Digital Ventures, and DBJ Capital.[3]

In July of 2017 Trillium acquired the automotive penetration testing company CanBusHack to expand its role as a provider of automotive security services.[4]

In May of 2018 Trillium announced a vehicular GDPR assurance platform to provide transportation services with legislation-complying cyber security.[5]

In November of 2016, Trillium announced a partnership with NXP to bring cybersecurity to vehicles as connectivity becomes more commonplace in the automotive industry.[6]

In January of 2018, Trillium was selected to participate in the Volkswagen Data:Lab Startup Collaboration Space to develop AI solutions for Volkswagen and the greater automotive industry.[7]
