NXP National Express Products is a New Zealand business supplies firm. Formerly known as Staples and Winc NZ, the company is privately owned by the Tiri Group and has distribution centres in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
With over 50,000 customers, NXP is New Zealand’s largest supplier of stationery and office products to large corporate and government organisations.[1]
History[edit]
First founded in 1950 as Geo Berryman, the family-owned office supplies company was subsequently rebranded as Corporate Express, Staples, Winc and finally NXP National Express Products.
COVID-19 Pandemic[edit]
During the COVID-19 pandemic , NXP was considered an essential supplier of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the New Zealand Government, sourcing and importing 500 tonnes of the equipment on chartered five flights from China to help maintain government services such as New Zealand Police and Ministry of Defence.[2] The company was also able to work with Gull Petroleum to distribute 50,000 litres of ethanol diverted from fuel to hand sanitiser production, helping to meet urgent demand from healthcare services.[3]
