TrippNT is an American corporation headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. As of 2022, TrippNT designs, develops and manufactures carts, bins and organizers for scientists, doctors, and other professionals to move, store and manage their supplies. It is also a contract plastic manufacturer providing CNC routing, laser cutting, thermoforming and plastic welding for both the US and international markets.
The company was founded in 1993 by Michigan-born chemist Susan Tripp, who invented a bench top organizer for her microscopy supplies. TrippNT is a certified woman-owned business,[1] as well as a certified veteran-owned business.
History[edit]
TrippNT's roots can be found in the labs of Marion Merrell Dow in the early 1990s. Susan Tripp, a senior chemist at Marion Merrell Dow, attempted to find new ways to organize her laboratory space, which was cluttered with hundreds of samples and reagents, along with numerous tools, slides, cameras, video cameras, and additional laboratory equipment. Unhappy with her space, Susan asked her husband, Bob Tripp, to assist her in creating her own benchtop laboratory organizer. Within three days, Bob Tripp had finished construction on his first laboratory organizer, which was unbeknown at the time to be TrippNT's very first laboratory organizer.
TrippNT moved from its home-based operation in 2000 to a commercial location in Raytown, Missouri. TrippNT moved once again in 2007 into a 18,000-square-foot (1,700 m2) commercial property located in northern Kansas City, Missouri that serves as its current headquarters and manufacturing facility.
Products[edit]
TrippNT offers a wide variety of laboratory organization products. These range from carts for MRI rooms to glove box holders.
