Trisha Abe is a Canadian painter and muralist based in Kitchener, Ontario.
Abe was born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario.[1] As a high school student she excelled in biology and health, leading her to enroll at the University of Waterloo to pursue a degree in biomedical science.[2] Although Abe took an elective fine arts class in her first year of studies, she didn't begin painting regularly until her final year of university.[1] Following graduation in 2018, she worked as a server, continuing to paint and beginning to sell her work, eventually transitioning to art full-time taking on various commissions.[1][3] Her first large scale mural, covering a 23 x 12 foot wall and consisting of 14 portraits, was completed in 2018 at Kitchener's Him & Her Inc.[3] As of 2020 Abe has completed pieces for Shopify, Communitech, and the City of Kitchener.[2] She has also exhibited at Waterloo's LUMEN Festival and Kitchener's TheMuseum.[2]
