Travon Donique Howard (born April 11, 1995), better known by his stage name Trizzy,[1] is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born and raised in Utica, New York, he began his recording career as a teenager and first garnered regional attention and praise for his mixtapes in the early 2010s. He released his first album, Winners Never Quit, in May 2016.
Career
Howard started his music career as a producer and gained the nickname "Trizzy Beats" in the process. Trizzy first gained recognition following the release of his 2013 single “My Own Style”. In early 2014, he self-released his third mixtape, Success vs. Fame. He issued his fourth mixtape, Let Me Introduce Myself, in 2015. His debut studio album, Winners Never Quit, was released on May 9, 2016.[2] Trizzy released his second album, My Name Is Trizzy, on June 1, 2018. Previously, he released the first single for the album “I Won” and its music video on April 20, 2018, on YouTube.[3] Later that year, he saw further recognition for his guest appearance on Michael Wavves's single "On The Low...".[4]
For his first release in 2019, he teamed up with American rapper Tonee Marino and released the song “Bossed Up”. They performed the song live for the first time at SOB's. Tracy Mitchell of Respect described it as “catchy and swaggy”, adding that they "had the entire crowd lit" and left "with some new supporters."[5] On June 12, 2020, he appeared as a feature alongside American rapper John Cardiff on Canadian rapper JT5K’s "Came From Nothing".[6] In 2021, Trizzy released several collaborative singles, including collaborating with 808 Mafia producer Tarentino.[7]
