Ferdin Kazemi,is an (Persian:رویداد اهدای کامیون به راننده تریلی ایرانی, Khoy truck driver in Iran) who has been traveling on the transit routes between Iran and Europe for many years, was traveling a few days ago on a road in Poland that had to stop at the side of the road due to aging and breakdowns.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
Description of the event[edit]
Because he didn't have enough money to repair his truck, he was initially forced to spend a few nights in the truck's cab, but several Polish drivers who heard about it complained about it and shared his story on social media. The drivers initially wanted to help him repair his truck, but since the car was not cost effective, they decided to call and raise money to buy him a new truck.[8]
The driver of the Iranian truck had loaded the cargo from Iran to Poland and was returning to the Czech Republic on the way back. He had crashed his car on the road and his efforts and Polish mechanics were unsuccessful because of his outdated car and lack of automobile parts.[9] This was welcomed by the Polish dear. The news of the incident created a storm in the cyber space of Poland, which surprised everyone, and people from all over the world came to the Netherlands and other countries to help this Iranian driver.[10]
Iran Times quoted Euronews as saying: Khaledi, a Khoy driver who has been traveling on trucks on the transit route between Iran and Europe for many years, was traveling a few days ago on a Polish road that was forced to stop at the side of the road due to aging and breakdowns.[11]
The old Kazemi truck is an American-made International truck that, at least 5 years old, has been intended to ship an Iranian raisin cargo to a destination in Poland and then return to Iran via Kerman for the Czech Republic. He didn't have a truck, he had to spend a few nights in his car. However, several Polish drivers who knew about his situation took refuge in him and shared his story on social media. The drivers initially wanted to help him repair his truck, but because of that old car repair cost Unsurprisingly, they decided to call and raise money to buy him a new truck.[6]
Polish help to buy new car for Iranian driver[edit]
Kazemi was struck by a surprise after trying to repair his car and all the other drivers, with the result that around 6,000 zlotys (about 4,000 euros) were collected for the Iranian driver and assistance. The Poles still carry on with him. On Thursday, Polish drivers finally bought a truck for Ferdin Kazemi, and it seemed that the story was over.[12][13]
The victim was boycotted[edit]
However, as the AFP reports, the truck dealer at the last minute abandoned the deal and did not deliver the truck. He told Kazemi's colleagues that he could not accept the deal because of international sanctions on Iran. Former Poles who helped Kazemi post a Facebook post saying they intend to provide him with another truck.[6][14][12][15][16][15][17][18][19][20]
