Trunk Train: The Movie (Portuguese: Tromba Trem: O Filme) is a 2022 Brazilian animated film directed and created by Zé Brandão, written by Débora Guimarães and Pedro Vieira, and produced by Copa Studio. Derived from the television series Trunk Train, the voice cast includes Roberto Rodrigues, Luca de Castro, Maíra Kesten, Elisa Lucinda, Caíto Mainier, Ed Gama, and Marisa Orth.
Synopsis[edit]
Gajah is a forgetful elephant who goes from anonymity to celebrity status overnight. He ends up drifting away from his former traveling companions on the Trunk Train. His fame is short-lived as he becomes the prime suspect in a series of mysterious kidnappings. To unravel this mystery, he will have to enlist the help of his old friends from before fame: a group of stubborn termites living in a colony and Duda, a vegetarian anteater.

Production[edit]
The production of a feature film of the Trunk Train franchise was announced in 2014 when the first version of the script was already written, along with the announcement of the third season of the television series, and the premiere was scheduled for 2016. In January 2021, Copa Studio announced the completion of production on their social media.
Release[edit]
In October 2021, the first trailer for the film was released. After a series of delays due to security protocols in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the film's release date was finally set for February 3, 2022 with national distribution by Vitrine Filmes, which uses its new label, Manequim Filmes.
In March 2022, the film was postponed to June 9, 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic by Manequim Filmes.
