Tuscany Camp is an elite athletics camp located in San Rocco a Pilli, Siena Province, Italy.
History
In 2014, Tuscany Camp was founded by Italian athletics coach and manager Giuseppe Giambrone.[1][2]
Tuscany Camp has also partnered with the Uganda Athletics Federation (UAF) since 2014.[3] UAF has sent various Ugandan athletes to Tuscany Camp for training and medical care, including Boniface Toroitich Kiprop.[4]
Tuscany Camp also supports Bukwo Training Camp, a running camp in Bukwo, Uganda that was founded and managed by Italian sports manager Flavio Pascalato in 2014.[5]
Facilities
Tuscany Camp's main campus is based at the 18th-century Borghesi Bighi Villa.[6]
The camp has a medical and physiotherapy center, established in 2011 prior to the official incorporation of the camp.[7]
Athletes train on the various trails and roads in and around San Rocco a Pilli and the Val di Merse area.[8]
