  • Mahesh Kumar as Langada Lahori - One of the most dreaded terrorists who brainwashes children to fight the final battle to conquer India completely.
  • Rajesh PR "Dadu" as Politician Kangaru Ji - a traitor Indian leader.

Production[edit]

"Tute Kanch" was made in quite a non-traditional way. In 2017, Pramod Sharma, with the cast and crew of the film, appeared in a Facebook live session ("Tute Kanch" - Making of the Movie) and announced: "Tute Khwab: The Broken Dreams" (now "Tute Kanch"), as a short film mainly for film festivals. Later when he started finalizing the screenplay, he realized that such a vast and critical subject like terrorism should not be dealt with in a short film, so a feature film was announced.

To win the hearts of the classes and masses both, the screenplay has quite an unusual structure. Another experiment that was done was the use of normal mobile phones (not even iPhones) for the shoot. A mobile having Full HD Resolution (1920 x 1080p) was mounted on tripods and jimmy jibs etc for the entire shoot (Shooting a Feature Film on Mobile/Smartphone). Another mobile was connected to a lav microphone to record the sound. Most of the sound was sync sound and was recorded with the actual scenes. Later a software was used to apply two-level cleaning of noise from this sound. Only a few dialogs were dubbed later. Thus, "Tute Kanch" is probably the first full length (152 minutes) Indian feature film to be completely shot on mobiles without the use of any cameras.

Controversy[edit]

Controversy surrounded the film when in the trailer launch event, Dhanashri, the leading lady, blamed Sharma for cutting her scenes and increasing the scenes of Madhuri who plays her best friend. The controversy heightened to the extent that the shooting was stopped. Pramod Sharma and Madhuri had to release a YouTube video (Madhuri's Answer to Dhanashree's Controversy) to clarify the matter to the audience, but the tempest didn't stop there. Later, all the cast and crew of the film met during a marriage ceremony, the things were sorted, and the remaining scenes were shot.

Another controversy got built up when some viewers of a private screening of the film made complaints that the film was making statements against a particular religion and could hurt the sentiments! Sensing the sensitivity of the matter, Sharma had to release an original YouTube Video of some real terrorists (Bharat ke Dushman - The Enemies of India) who were openly conspiring against India; the video was the reference for the controversial scenes in the film!!

The film has three mini songs with four full-length songs. All lyrics are written by Pramod Sharma.
