Tyler Mariucci is an American college athletics administrator who is the Director of Athletics at California Baptist University in Riverside, CA., beginning in May 2021[1]. Before taking over for the Lancers, Mariucci spent time with multiple Division I athletic departments including San Diego State, the University of San Diego, Maryland, Memphis[2], and Fresno State.

Prior to CBU, Mariucci was a member of the San Diego State’s athletic director's[3] senior staff as the Associate Athletics Director for Development and Executive Director of the Aztec Club. During the 2019-20 fiscal year the Aztec club set a national standard by setting all-time school records of $33.6 million in pledges and commitments, total donors, while helping lead the single largest capital campaign in athletics history: The $100 million Campaign for Aztec Stadium.

Before SDSU, while at the University of San Diego as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development[4], the university completed a $300 million campus-wide campaign, the single largest comprehensive campaign in university history. Mariucci also led a national search, which yielded Chris Riley, the only PGA Tour Ryder Cup member to ever be named a Division I head coach. As a member of the athletic director's executive team, Tyler had a major role in the formation of the USD athletics new strategic plan: "Winning in the Classroom, Winning on the Playing Field and Winning in the Community," which details a plan and timeline for the future success of intercollegiate athletics.

While at the University of Maryland, Mariucci was a member of the athletic director's management team[5] that successfully navigated the university's transition into the Big Ten Conference from the Atlantic Coast Conference. During the first two years as a Big Ten member, Maryland won the most Big Ten championships and broke ground on a $150+ million football facility. Additionally, Tyler was a sport supervisor for a number of teams including women's basketball, wrestling and field hockey among others that produced six conference championships, four NCAA tournament appearances and 29 Academic All-Americans.

Mariucci was an FCS football student-athlete[6] at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he earned a degree in kinesiology be receiving his M.A. in kinesiology in sports management from San Jose State University. Mariucci, the son of former NFL head coach Steve Mariucci, is a third-generation collegiate student-athlete following the linage of his father (Northern Michigan) and grandfather (Michigan State). Tyler and his wife Jennifer reside in Riverside with their two sons.
