Tyler Galen Wood (born October 27, 1984) is an American singer-songwriter, composer, and reality TV personality. Born and raised in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Tyler Wood gained greater recognition after participating in the national television show Moonshiners (TV series).[1]

Early life

Tyler grew up hunting, fishing, working on the family farm, and learning about his family’s heritage and traditions in the world of backwoods moonshine. After high school, Tyler pursued a trade as a machine and tool technician. Shortly afterward, Tyler deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2007–2008 as a DOD contractor. Upon returning home, Tyler Wood became a head engineer on a natural gas pipeline in Dallas, TX.

Career

Music

Tyler Wood recorded his first album, Outlaw Soul, in 2014, which gained global popularity from his hit song “Still Ridin’ Shotgun”. Since then, Tyler Wood has released two more albums (“Road To Redemption” and “Who I Am”) that are gaining national recognition. Tyler Wood has published music videos on YouTube with over 26 million views and growing.

Tyler Wood's musical influences include Hank Williams Sr., Hank Williams Jr., George Jones, and Jamie Johnson.

Moonshiners

Tyler’s moonshine heritage and connections landed him in the spotlight of the national television show Moonshiners (TV series) on the Discovery Channel. Tyler Wood participated in seasons 3–5.[2]
