UGI Group (United Group International) is a diversified conglomerate operational in Canada, Singapore, UK and Bangladesh. The company's one of the main business arms are in telecommunication. Through its flagship brand "Wowtel" which provides sims that work in over 215 countries. Additionally, it services the needs of telecommunication operators in 12 countries with over 20 of the leading operators including Axiata, Telenor, Vimplecom, Orascom etc.
It also works to increase food security through implementation of mobile technology. Projects that have touched over 1.2 million lives of farmers in empowering them with information through the use of technology. It is also engaged in Shipping, Branding and Advertising, Logistics, Distribution/FMCG, and Manufacturing.[1]
