UM Wolves RFC is the University of Malta's official rugby club. Competing in Malta's domestic rugby union leagues,..[1] the Club's men's and women's teams are the youngest on the island, while the newly-launched Youth Academy is building a solid base for the future of the Club out of Ġ.F. Abela Junior College.
With a strong University-based following, the Club has built a strong image and a vibrant social atmosphere in the past six years of its existence[2][3][4][5]

The Club was founded on 13 October 2017, and has since become a recognised Voluntary Organisation with the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector, as well as a recognised organisation with the University of Malta Senate, and Sport Malta. Further, the Club is a member of the Malta Rugby Football Union.[6]
After a period of development, the Club started to compete in Malta's domestic rugby union leagues, with the women's team starting to compete in the 2019/2020 season,[7] and the men's team entering the CISK league for the first time in January 2022[8][9][10]
