Music[edit]

Uctumi began composing in the mid 90's with music trackers on PC computers and releasing his tracks in the local BBS communities..[1] He took part of different music-oriented demoscene groups like MoCo, Synthesis, Amplitude, Lithium, Fadeout and a few others.

He released his first music album in 2000 called Music for the planets that included original songs inspired in outer space and nature. More recently he began exploring other computer platforms for music composing most notably Commodore 64[2], Amiga but also SEGA, as well as creating music with modern trackers like openMPT and Renoise. He's currently a full member of the argentine-based group PVM (Pungas de Villa Martelli)[3] and the international Commodore 64 oriented group Hokuto Force.

In 2015 he took part of the Commodore 64 music disk Arriba las manos! (Hands Up!) by PVM with original compositions and cover songs[4]. In the beginning of 2016 his C64 covers and remixes of popular argentine songs were released in the music disk Argentine Songbook volume 1 by PVM. The youtube video of this musicdisk has collected thousands of views[5].

In the same year he released the album Helicoid, a compilation of melodic synth original compositions with energetic beats composed exclusively with trackers.[6]

That same year his song A night to let go was featured in the album YM2017, released in the form of a SEGA Genesis cartridge by Catskull Electronics.[7]

Around the same time, he was featured in the compilation album Summer of SID with his dualSID track Power of 2.[8] Towards the end of 2017 he released together with PVM the album Brazil bits with Commodore 64 covers of popular brazilian songs.[9] In 2018 he released Argentine Songbook vol. 2 a continuation of the succesfull album with popular argentine songs for Commodore 64 by PVM.[10]

In 2019, he released his Commodore 64 compositions album POP SIDS that include only pop upbeat styled original songs recorded from a real standard Commodore 64 with a single 8580 SID chip.[11]

Also this same year one his chiptune-dub track Abya Yala was selected to be included in the multi-styled chiptune compilation Chiptunes=WIN vol. 8[12]

Demoscene[edit]

He's an active member of the demoscene, having collaborated with other artists in the creation of realtime executable animations, called demos and intros, which competed in demoparties throughout the world.[13] Other demoscene activities include writing articles on the situation of the demoscene in Argentina[14] and collaborating in organizing Flashparty editions 2018 and 2019, the main argentine demoparty.
