Uep Fly or Uep!Fly is a Spanish virtual regional airline that operates in the Balearic Islands and is a full subsidiary of Swiftair.[1]. The airline is headquartered in Madrid and has an operational base at Palma de Mallorca Airport. The airline flies between Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza and Menorca[2]
History
Uep! Fly, initially named UEP Airways[3], was formed in the spring of 2021 by Salvador Moreno, flying inter-island routes within the Balearic Islands using Swiftair's AOC and equipment[4]. Its maiden flight was held on 16 July 2021 from Palma de Mallorca to Ibiza, using ATR 72-500 equipment. At launch, Uep!Fly operated two aircraft of this type.[5]
Future Development
The airline intends to grow according to a three-step plan. First, operations between the Balearic Islands will be established, then connections to peninsular Spain will be added, and finally connections to the rest of Europe should be connected.[6][7]
