Uinitoni Mataele (12 December 2002) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a prop and second-row forward for the Parramatta Eels in the National Rugby League.

Background

Mataele is a Rouse Hill Rhinos junior, he attended Patrician Brothers Blacktown where he played his schoolboy football. [2] Mataele played for the Parramatta Eels in their pathways system.

Career

In 2020, Mataele signed with the Newcastle Knights.[3]

Mataele returned to Parramatta in late 2022, signing a deal until the end of 2025.[4]

In Round 11 2025, Mataele made his NRL debut for Parramatta against the Newcastle Knights coming off the bench in a 28-6 win at McDonald Jones Stadium.[5] [6] Mataele re-signed with Parramatta until the end of 2026. [7] [8] [9]
