Ulf Poschardt (born March 25 1967 in Nürnberg) is a German journalist.
Early life and education[edit]
In his childhood he lived in Schwabach. He studied journalism at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and at Deutsche Journalistenschule in Munich; and he studied philosophy at Munich School of Philosophy. His dissertation was on the history of DJ culture.
Career[edit]
From 1996 to 2000, Poschardt worked for Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin. In the media scandal over Tom Kummer, Poschardt lost his job at Süddeutsche Zeitung.[1] In January 2001 Poschardt got a job as creative director at newspaper Welt am Sonntag. From 2005 to 2008, he was editor-in-chief for the German edition of the magazine Vanity Fair.[2]
In 2008, Poschardt went back to newspaper Welt am Sonntag, where he became second editor-in-chief.[3] He also became producer of the German editions of music magazines Rolling Stone, Musikexpress and Metal Hammer.[4]
From 2014, Poschardt was second editor-in-chief at media company WeltN24; he later became editor-in-chief of WeltN24..[5]
Personal life[edit]
Poschardt is married and has two children.[6]

- 2022: Order of Merit by Ukraine, 3 class[7]
