Umbrel is a software to run a bitcoin full node, with focus on UX design. It is currently still in beta. To run Umbrel, it is recommended to use Umbrel OS, an operating system based on the 64bit version of the Raspberry Pi OS, on a Raspberry Pi 4 with at least 2GB of RAM..[1]
Architecture[edit]
Umbrel uses Docker containers for each part of Umbrel. The Umbrel Dashboard can access Umbrel APIs using nginx, and these APIs are provided by Umbrel Manager and Umbrel Middleware, which both are connected to bitcoind and lnd.[2]
