Umro Ayyar- A New Beginning is an upcoming Pakistani animated film based on the historical character Umro Ayyar directed by Azfar Jafri.[1][2] The film shows the 13th-century Iraqi city of Basra, Pakistan's current infrastructure and an imaginary place called Talisman Hosh Raba. The story is based on Umro Ayyar, a character in Tilism-e-hoshruba included in Hamzanama, written during the reign of the Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Akbar.[3][4]
Pakistani production house Enginiti Productions started work on the film in July 2021 and it will be released in 2023.[5]
