Unawatuna College (Si:උණවටුන මහා විද්යාලය, also called "Unawatuna Maha Vidyalaya") is 1AB public government school is in Unawatuna. The school was established in 17th September 1897 at Unawatuna, Sri Lanka.[1]
History[edit]
The school was firstly located Sandra's estate in Unawatuna with 14 students and 4 teachers. And after support of H.W Amarasuriya [2] , school renamed Unawatuna Buddhist mixed school and relocated to his own house. In 1962 the school was added to government school. In 2004 the area was damaged Tsunami disaster. After that the school has rebuild donations of peoples. [3]
