Career (2022-Present)
Uncle Howdy is an unknown masked professional wrestler who is in a storyline with Bray Wyatt.[1] He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the Smackdown brand, but as he was unlisted in the WWE Draft it's unclear where he will next turn up. He is yet to compete in a match. Who he is and where he is from is unknown. His mask was created by Jason Baker.[2] He has made several appearances during Wyatts' promos and during Alexa Bliss' promos and matches.
Appearances (2022-Present)
On December 16 episode of Smackdown, LA Knight came out to complain about being abducted and attacked before Wyatt came out to confront his foe saying he never laid a hand on Knight saying "he's barking up the wrong tree." Wyatt then told Knight to make his message clear with Knight then attacking Wyatt but was cut off by a sinister warning from Uncle Howdy. Things got even more sinister when Uncle Howdy made his debut and proved he is not a figment of Wyatts imagination.[3][4] On December 30 episode of Smackdown, Bray Wyatt came out to address his attack on a poor cameraman, but his apology was cut short by LA Knight. The latter ended up challenging Wyatt for the Royal Rumble, which Wyatt accepted before a sinister looking warning was played on the screen. Uncle Howdy then made a creepy entrance before hitting Wyatt with Wyatts' finishing move, leaving fans and Knight totally shocked.[5][6]
On January 2 episode of Raw, Alexa Bliss was in a middle of a match with Bianca Belair when she got distracted by people wearing Uncle Howdys' mask, when she got back in the ring, Bray Wyatt's logo flashed twice causing her to snap and attack the referee and Bianca.[7] On January 9 episode of Raw, Alexa Bliss came out to address her attack on Bianca Belair the week before, while she was talking a playground was showed on the titantron and so was dark Alexa Bliss, from when she was with The Fiend, thats when Uncle Howdy asked "Do you feel in charge."[8][9] On January 20 episode of smackdown, LA Knight cut a promo about his upcoming match with Bray Wyatt before defeating a local talent. After the match, the Firefly Fun House returned with the fun house puppets each having their opinion on the Mountain Dew pitch black match, Uncle Howdy then appeared saying "I told you so, all you needed was a little push."[10] On January 27 episode of smackdown, LA Knight came out in a straw hat and a Hawaiian shirt to mock Bray Wyatt and cut a promo about the match between them at the Royal Rumble PPV. Bray Wyatt then appeared and warned him about the lights going out which is when Uncle Howdy appeared in the skybox.[11]
At Royal Rumble, after Bliss lost her Raw Women's Championship match to champion Bianca Belair, Howdy appeared on the Titantron showing vignettes of Dark Alexa Bliss and asked her "are you in control."[12][13] He also appeared after the pitch black match between Bray Wyatt and LA Knight. While Wyatt was chasing LA Knight, Howdy jumped off from the stage onto LA Knight.[14][15][16]
On February 3 episode of Smackdown Bray Wyatt was seen watching his Royal Rumble match against LA Knight when Uncle Howdy appeared with his hand on Wyatts' shoulder and then suddenly put his face to the camera.[17] On February 17 episode of Smackdown, Hit Row was interrupted while rapping by Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy and was attacked, afterwards Bray challenged the winner of the Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley match at Elimination Chamber telling them to run.[18][19] On February 24, The Firefly Fun house returned and Uncle Howdy appeared reading the weather and said "I am all of us" while moving his hand in a curve-like motion.[20][21] On March 3, Bobby Lashley went on Smackdown to confront Bray Wyatt but instead got attacked by Uncle Howdy, Lashley started to get the upperhand but just as Lashley was going for the spear the lights went out and Uncle Howdy disappeared.[22][23][24] He has not made an appearance since due to the absence of Bray Wyatt because of a physical issue.[25]
Rumours Of His Identity
Uncle Howdy has been rumoured to be many people behind the mask with some fans thinking it could be Bray Wyatts' real life brother Bo Dallas or Vincent as well as Dutch, even Edge was rumoured at one point but still no-one, not even people backstage, knows who Uncle Howdy is, Bray Wyatt seems to be one of the only people that know who he is. Bo Dallas is heavily rumoured to be Uncle Howdy at the moment but as Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy has not made an appearance it is still unknown. [26][27][28]
