Career

Unkonfined is a hip-hop recording artist who became a musician in early 2005. Unkonfined signed with Creative Minds Entertainment (CEO Rande Ross). Upon signing, they began consistently touring for shows all over the country. Unkonfined's first album, called Sworn In, was picked up by Avatar Music, which was a partner of Fontana/Universal. On his first album, Sworn In, he had a guest feature from rapper Equipto on the song “Hip-Hop Status”.^[3]^[4]

Later, he became an independent recording artist and started working with a producer/DJ named Nima Fadavi. Together, they started a group called Rise of the Revolution, which generated fans of its own as well as for Unkonfined. He released two albums as a member of Rise of the Revolution: Never Stand Down and Lethal of Equal.^[5] Rise of the Revolution signed with an independent label called Ineffable Music Group and quickly became known for their hard-hitting beats, controversial lyrics, and passionate live shows that included a live band and an artist on stage painting while they performed. They toured all over the country with artists like Collie Buddz, Immortal Technique, Tech N9ne, among others. Unkonfined and Nima eventually went their separate ways, and Unkonfined continued to create music. He released a few new singles (Focus,^[6] My Life,^[7] and Wooden Nickels^[8]) in 2020 and released Status ft. Equipto,^[9] Puppets,^[10] and Beneath the Surface ft. Esik in 2021.^[11]^[12]^[13]

The Never Stand Down album included The Grouch of the hip-hop group, The Living Legends. The name of that song is the same as the album, “Never Stand Down”.^[14]

Unkonfined's release on September 15, 2016, called Dreams, featured singer/rapper Esik.^[15]^[16]

Unkonfined also became known for his motivational quotes on Twitter with over half a million followers. In February of 2021, Unkonfined made headlines on Indian news networks for tweeting in support of the Farmer’s protest, a tweet he quickly deleted. The deletion of the tweet was not because he did or did not support what was going on, but rather because he did not fully understand either side and decided that he shouldn’t be speaking about topics that he doesn’t have knowledge on. He followed up the deletion of the tweet with a video explaining his position and apologizing for the tweet.^[17]

While traditional photography requires an array of cameras, lenses, and gear, Unkonfined untraditionally shoots and edits all of his photos using an iPhone. He has been featured by SF Gate (San Francisco Chronicle), Wonderlust San Francisco, Ergobaby, Don’t Forget Dads, I Love San Francisco, The Bad Dad’s Club, Super Dads, Creation, World Photography Arena and 49 Miles: The SF Guide.^[18]

Unkonfined's first book, titled Unbroken Mind, is in progress and focuses on the most important pillars to ensure that a person has a happy, successful, and enriched life: namely Love, Self-Confidence, Mental Health, Your Circle, and Anxiety. His new EP, called Extraterrestrial, is also set to release in late 2022.^[19]
