Development
While working in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man films, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige chose to develop films for other studios.[1] Being a fan of the Star Wars franchise, Feige went to Lucasfilm, where he asked if he could develop a Star Wars film, to which Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy agreed.[1] On September 26, 2019, it was reported that Feige is currently developing a Star Wars movie for Lucasfilm.[2] In November 20, 2019, during an interview, Kennedy said that the film is in early stages of development, with her and Feige "[having] just [begun] to talk about what [the film's plot] might be and when [the film] might be".[1]
