The untitled Walking Dead film is an upcoming film American zombie horror film based on The Walking Dead television series. It is intended to be the first film of a trilogy of The Walking Dead films set in the The Walking Dead franchise. The film is written by Scott Gimple, who also produces the series, and will star Andrew Lincoln.

- Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes[1]: A former sheriff deputy rescued by Jadis after being washed to shore from blowing up a bridge to stop a horde of Walkers in The Walking Dead.

Development[edit]
On November 16, 2018, Scott Gimple announced a trilogy of The Walking Dead films centered around Rick Grimes are in early development. Gimple has been attached to write all three films.[2]
Casting[edit]
On November 17, 2018, Pollyanna McIntosh entered negotiations to reprise her role as Anne "Jadis".[3] On July 19, 2019, it was announced that Andrew Lincoln would return as Rick Grimes in the film.[1]
Filming[edit]
Principle photography was scheduled to begin in 2019[4] but as of September 2020, nothing was filmed.
Release[edit]
The film will be released only in theatres through AMC, Skybound and Universal Pictures.[1]
