English singer and songwriter Leigh-Anne is scheduled to release her upcoming debut studio album, through Warner Records. The album's title is unknown, but musically will be centered around R&B, amapiano, reggae, Afrobeats, and pop sounds.[3][4] The album was preceded by the lead single "Don't Say Love" which debuted at number eleven on the UK Singles Chart.

Background[edit]

Leigh-Anne signed a record contract with Warner Records in February 2022. In May, following their Confetti Tour, Little Mix announced an extended hiatus in order to pursue solo careers.[5] Leigh-Anne made her debut as a solo artist on 16 June 2023, with the single "Don't Say Love". During a cover story with British Vogue, she revealed that four songs had already been selected with one song titled "I Did That" that reflects on her accomplishments. Another song called "My Love" has been described as "a celebration of every type of love" with lyrics referencing a new beginning for her after gaining back her confidence, while “Stealing Love” has been described as "someone stealing love away from you and not giving enough back in return".[6]

In a follow-up interview for The Face, Leigh-Anne explained how "her album will take her fans on a journey" and how the genres will be influenced by sounds she grew up listening to. The album will also be lyrically inspired around mother-hood and her relationship.[7] Leigh-Anne worked on music in Jamaica with fellow collaborators PRGRSHN, Dyo, Abby Keen, Khris Riddick, Danja, and Di Genius.[3]

Singles[edit]

The album was preceded by the single "Don't Say Love", and has been described as a UK garage and dance-pop song.[8] It debuted at number eleven in the UK, becoming her first top twenty chart entry.

Track listing[edit]

In June 2023, Leigh-Anne already confirmed four tracks that will be featured on her debut album, during an interview with British Vogue.[9]
