Ursula Manvatkar is an Indian filmmaker based in Dubai. She has written, produced and directed short films like Chappal, The Final Straw, Let it go, The Kick, Shadow Island and The last chance which received nominations for the multiple film festivals globally.[1]
Early life and education[edit]
Ursula Manvatkar was born in Nagpur India,[2] She has been based in the UAE since 1998.[3] She is a qualified Chartered Marketer and had been working with MCs such as GlaxoSmithKline, Estee Lauder, Henkel and Jotun Paints before venturing on her own as an entrepreneur,[4] with a focus on films and corporate social responsibility.[5][6]She owns a boutique agency called Medulla Productions and Consulting LLC, based in Sharjah Media City, through which she carries out her production, casting and CSR work. She is also a philanthropist and social worker working for the causes of animal welfare, environment and blue collared workers. She organizes licensed fundraisers for UAE based charitable cause.[7]
Producer and film work[edit]
Ursula is a film director, producer, casting director and writer.[8][9] She has been part of several award winning short films and notable Bollywood and Regional Indian films such as Happy New Year, Airlift, Tiger Zinda Hai, Enemy and Aadujeevitham (Goat Days), along with 600 plus television commercials.[10]
Two of her latest projects 'The Last Chance'[11] & 'The Final Straw' have been released by an Indian OTT platform called Digiplex.[12][13]
