USHERS: The Front of House Musical was a musical that premiered at The Hope Theatre on 3rd December 2013. It has music by Yiannis Koutsakos, lyrics by James Oban and book written by James Rottger.
The musical is set in a West End Theatre in a fictitious large theatre company named Theatre Nation, this is a chain company similar to likes of theatre operator The Ambassador Theatre Group. The story follows a group of USHERS during a evening shift of the new hit musical 'Oops I did It Again' a new Juke Boy Musical with songs by Britney Spears starring Michael Ball and Sheridan Smith.

The musical was produced by Theatre Producer James Steel for Kouban Productions. The Musical started its life at the Soho Theatre as part of twitter impresario @WestEndProducer's 'Search For a Twitter Composer' competition.[1][2] The musical was a finalist from 99 shows and won the audience vote.[3]
The musical opened the new Kings Head Theatre sister venue The Hope Theatre in 2013 with Max Reynolds as Director and Russel Smith as Choreographer. The musical transferred to the Charing Cross Theatre from March 2014 - May 2014.
The show was remounted with the same creative team the following year for successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This production transferred to the Arts Theatre for a six week limited engagement.
The production was made available to amateur and professional companies in 2014 and has had other professional productions by Sound Ideas Theatre Company in Norwich and 5 Quarters Theatre Company in Guernsey.
